Summary | 0002299: Canvas drawing error on Win98
Description | Reported by Roving Cowboy. No time to look into this yet... error one. this is reproduceable by. 1. start up monkey move 3 + gb's of songs to new location then change the genre on all those songs. and also add new album art then remove all the old album art. then sync the songs. and look for duplicates. 2. you do all that just to get monkey good and filed with new text data to write. now start renaming the songs by adding some name to them that you know you can remove with out having to look for the fake names like make them The monkees of town. The beatles of town. The Rolling stones of town. that way you can just go back in and take the " of town " off just sit there and chang each song like that keep doing it for about 30 songs it should show up in that much time. if not though you should then go back and remove the " of town " by clicking in the text line behind "town" and pressing the backspace on the keyboard do that for all the songs you renamed it should make the error show up. but if not then try it again but this time type in the name again but add an extra letter to the word town. like " townd" then while typing that same word hit the back space to remove the last letter and then hit the space bar and type another word after the word town. like " town one " you should get the error when you start to type the new word after the word town or when you press the backspace key to remove the last letter. the error is the canvas does not allow drawing. and it is for each song in the list view area . or the now playing area. and it just sits there and sends that error alert out by the thousands per second. it is the same error i use to get when i pressed okay in the editing panel when i was editing the songs. but it shows up now before i even get to the place to press the okay button. and only shows up when monkey has lots of text and other data to add to the data base. that is the only trouble i had that made RC 2 lock up. error two RC 2 handled scaning for un sync'ed files playing a song, and re adjusting the out of sync files all at the same time. just did it a might slow, i do have multiple hard drives too though so it might crash doing all that on one hard drive. error three. RC 2 casused and invalid floating point when i was copying 3 gb's of songs from one hard drive to another hard drive and playing songs at the same time. the error showed up when the player tried to switch songs. that is all i have found in RC 2. it was all on win98 i did not try it on the winMe as both are the 9x os's. keith
