Summary | 0010431: Server: Warning Dialog for no shared files
Description | If in Media Sharing options under Sharing Content user deselect all and still start server on any DLNA client that access MMW server interface will show like there was no tracks on server, that same behavior will be examined if server do not support client. We should either: a) inform user that there is no shared content and that clients will not see any tracks within MMW library b) automatically disable server and not allow user to enable server till some content is shared in server options

How about if all entries are unchecked --> "Warning: no content is being shared. The UPnP server will appear empty!" |
|
That should work I updated Info, I would prefer option b) as over time users can forget that they set no share. Also there is one case where your suggestion is better eg. a) solution. "Warning: no content is being shared. The UPnP server will appear empty and you will only be able to remote player controls!" |
