| Description | These days it's fairly common for apps to upgrade from within the application--it's much more convenient for the end user. An implementation should support: - both regular and portable modes - prompt to restart / delayed restart - silent install (save all existing settings) - display web node on restart (in case we want to present offers to upgrade to MM Gold, etc.) Suggested workflow: - Automated check for updates enabled by default - Manual check for updates via Help > About - [Check for updates] --> - If update is available indicate update message + [Install update] button (which triggers download and install with status bar) ---> - Show [Restart to update] button. | ||||
