I tested this with but
Even of Alt + Enter setting is removed, a music file still plays as soon as I hit Alt + Enter (even if I relaunch the application). Do I need to do something else to make the fix work?

You are true that if you remove the hotkey 'Playback: Play Now' entirely then the default 'Alt+Enter' is used for 'Play Now' action, but if you change the 'Playback: Play Now' hotkey from Alt+Enter to Alt+P then Alt+Enter is no longer valid and Alt+P is used instead.

I haven't considered it as bug because MM has always behaved this way (that if an appropriate hotkey doesn't exist for an action then the default shortcut is used).

Ok, I will try to explain this to NEC and tell them to accept this as "specification".
