Summary | 0011158: Ability to advance/rewind more rapidly within a track
Description | Currently, if the user presses and holds the forward/next button, MMA advances/rewinds ~3 seconds for each 1/2 second that the button is held down. This is far too slow when trying to advance/rewind within a movie or audiobook (and the seek bar is not granular enough to use in cases where the media file > 1hr). Possible solution: 1st 3 seconds: advance/rewind 5s/500ms next 3 seconds: advance/rewind 10s/500ms next 3 seconds: advance/rewind 30s/500ms next 3 seconds: advance/rewind 1m/500ms

Note that in the past I already implemented something like this for seeking using bluetooth headsets, so a similar implementation might be made. |
|
I'd originally thought that we can defer this, but I"ve raised this to 'urgent' since I find that the current implementation is too slow to be usable. |
