Summary | 0011359: Endless 'Wi-Fi disabled' messages
Description | If the user has configured their Android device to Airplane mode and then enabled Wi-Fi (typically this is done to disable the modem but leave WiFi on) then MM initially syncs, but then upon conclusion of the sync operation, it displays: Wi-Fi disabled ---------------- You need Wi-Fi to connect to a remote server. [OK] Clicking [OK] --> Debug messages have been uploaded (numerous sets of such messages were uploaded ~10:45pm) It seems that if MM is having trouble connecting to a network on this screen, it's impossible to exit, and MMA becomes completely frozen. Note: The Wi-Fi connection does exist and works correctly as tested via a browser connection.

Note: even when I disable Airplane mode, this problem persists. Force closing MMA also fails to resolve the problem, as it recurs upon restarting. Sometimes a dialog prompting to Cancel | Enable wifi appears, and cancelling still fails to exit this endless loop. |

Possibly related issue from another user running ICS: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=73957 In this case, the lock screen seems to trigger a connection attempt which results in the 'Waiting for the remote server...' message. |
|
Note that I'm not able to replicate either of these problems, but am hoping that you may have an idea re. the cause... |
