Summary | 0011574: Background process never stops (regression)
Description | In build 196 there is some background process that prevents MMA from terminating, and prevents synchronization from proceeding ("Sync is waiting for other background operations to complete."). I suspect that this is related to changes to scanning behavior that may have been implemented in relation to 0011549. I noticed something in this build that may be related to the problem: when it is initially run, the 'scanning hourglass' appears for some time. But as soon as the user switches views from the home screen (e.g. to Tracks view) the hourglass disappears. Not sure why that happens--i.e. if the scanning process is occurring, switching views presumably shouldn't terminate the process. Note: this occurs on multiple devices (tested on SG3/JB4.1 and Nexus5/Kitkat).
