| Description | Using wifi sync MMW is set to sync the 1 most recent episodes and delete unselected Library files. The Podcast is set to retain the 1 most recent episode. The Podcast releases an episode daily. MMW is set to show removed episode links. This means that generally there are 1 or 2 episodes in MMW that are on the PC. 1) Do a wifi sync (includes 1 Podcast episode). 2) Wait a few days (synced episode is removed by MMW from PC). 3) Do another wifi sync (new episode is synced over). I'd expect the old episode (which is no longer on PC) to be removed. I'd also expect play counts to be updated in Library even though the episode is no longer on PC. | ||||

Are you sure that you enabled deletion of files/playlists not selected on sync-list? Did you tested WiFi sync with MMA or MM8 ? |

Wifi sync with MMA. Note that Podcast episodes still in the Library get deleted. This means the problem probably lies with the unselected Library files vs. all media files. In my opinion Podcast episodes auto-deleted by MMW should still be treated as Library files (after all they're still shown thus there is a Library entry for them). This means they should be deleted off the device (if set to do so) and should track Play History (also removed once episode is auto-deleted by MMW). In this case some users will be unwilling to choose to delete all media files (risky) to be able to remove old Podcast episodes that since have been auto-deleted in MMW. |
