Summary | 0011860: Upgrading from MediaMonkey to MediaMonkey Pro is confusing
Description | A couple of aspects of the upgrade procedure are confusing in the case of a user that installs MediaMonkey then MediaMonkey Pro: a) After the user clicks 'Open' to run the app, the installer closes, and the Google Play page that says 'Install' MediaMonkey Pro is displayed! That shouldn't happen--when the user clicks 'Open', MediaMonkey Pro should run, and display. b) When the user clicks 'MediaMonkey', there's no feedback that MediaMonkey has been upgraded. A toast or dialog should appear indicating that the user has upgraded to MediaMonkey Pro (note that if the user does the installation in the reverse direction (i.e. install/run MM Pro and then install/run MMA Beta, the dialog appears as expected)! c) In the above example 'Go Pro' still appears in the Global context menu! It should disappear, once upgraded (after closing/restarting the app, it doesn't appear--but nonetheless, it shouldn't appear after the upgrade has taken place). These issues result in some users not realizing that the upgrade was successful. Note: When the user clicks 'Install MediaMonkey' from within the Pro Installer, it links to a hard link of https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ventismedia.android.mediamonkey&hl=en , which is currently inactive. This can be left alone, since it'll be fixed as soon as MMA is released (by virtue of the URL becoming active at that point).
