| Description | In bug 0012633 we removed QuickShuffle from top level nodes that could potentially result in duplicate tracks appearing in the Now Playing list when users use Quick Shuffle. An annoying consequence of this is that if the user wants to shuffle a Genre (e.g. 'Rock'), they must click 'Rock' and then click the Tracks tab, and only then will QuickShuffle appear. To get rid of this extra step, we can enable 'QuickShuffle' for an individual Genre (e.g. if the user clicks Genre:Rock, then QuickShuffle should just shuffle all Rock tracks). The downside is that if a track is by > 1 artist, then MMA will create duplicates in the playlist, unless the query is modified to just randomize all tracks in the Genre and ignore Artists. An alternate and possibly simpler approach would be to set the default 'tab' in <Genre> to 'Tracks' (since QuickShuffle can be enabled in tracks without any worry of duplicate tracks being added to NP list). | ||||
