Summary | 0012920: Suppress notifications causes vibration notification each time a track changes on Marshmallow
Description | If the user enables 'suppress notifications' in MMA, then each time a track changes, the device 'buzzes'. This behaviour is new to Marshmallow. A user in the Google Play store also complained that on Marshmallow, enabling suppression somehow 'messes up' system volumes, but I didn't notice any difference in behavior compared to Lollipop other than the issue described above (when this setting is enabled, the volume indicator shows that notification volume is _temporarily_ set to 0 as long as audio is playing).

There was users reported same behavior (instead of buzz screen was active and draining battery) Behavior was observed on Moto X devices due the http://www.androidcentral.com/inside-moto-x-active-display Similar behavior should be also replicated using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2395549 or http://www.phonearena.com/news/Spotlight-Smart-Screen-On-Off-for-Android-replaces-your-power-key-with-motion-and-gesture-controls_id76325 I can't replicate but MMA updating notification can be the this. Can you please check possible relations? |
