Summary | 0001423: Add mouseover scrolling to MediaMonkey
Description | Many new applications today support mouseover scrolling in which the user is able to use the scrollwheel in a designated dialog by simply moving the cursor over the portion of the dialog (currently the user must first click the designated portion of the dialog). MediaMonkey can benefit from this functionality in several areas: Main Panel (most important): -on mouseover tree -on mouseover now playing -on mouseover tracklist -on mouseover searchbar In tools dialogs tracklists (less important): -auto-organize -auto-tag -convert -rip -burn Add folders dialog (least important): -on mouseover tree -on mouseover filetypes
Additional Information | Raised at http://www.songs-db.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1872 . This is one of those features that improves usability tremendously, even though the benefits, at first, might not be clear. It would be nice to fit this into the 2.3 release. Also requested in http://www.songs-db.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2592.

Fixed in build 800. - However I'm somewhat confused, although generally speaking I agree with users that scrolling the control below mouse cursor is more logical, the latest Microsoft applications (Win XP Explorer, WMP10) scroll the focused control instead. Anyway, I changed it in whole application so that it works better in all dialogs. |
