| Description | This is to track the task of determining whether it's worth adding support for CDex plugins. If we do add this support, it would enable us to give users a means of adding APE / MPC encoding support via third party plugins. Note: I'm not certain of the licensing terms of such plugins--i.e. users could use them, but I'm not sure which ones we could bundle. | ||||

Just checked and: -New compiles for Lame/OGG are posted to rarewares.org (useful for users who want the latest hydrogen-audio sanctioned encoders) -All encoders included with LAME are GPLed The implication is that this would not add very much in terms of usability for the majority of our user base, unless we get permission from the author to include the plugins. I'll follow up with the author. |
