Summary | 0014807: Album Art: Resize Album art option
Description | In both MMW and MM5 there is no option to resize existing album art We should make it possible: 1. In Art and Details window 2. In track properties 3. In sync profile for devices that do not support large album arts EDIT: 4) There is no easy way extract Image from Tag and save it as Folder image. Note taht some tracks can have multiple large images making images larger than file itself, only way to do that ATM is to use right click -> Save as -> Delete all images in tracks and rescan folder so that MM can pickup images again (if enabled) (See image sizes from https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/file_download.php?file_id=3715&type=bug ) 5) For Genre / Artist / Composers there is option to include only First value. There should be option for Album art to include Cront cover and/or first Album art.

Is there anything more to implement? Seems that we already have this resolved. |
|
This was never implemented 1) Art and details do not contain ability to resize image nor 1a) way to see real image size and if it is saved to tag like in Artwork properties (Guess Tooltip on Image would do that) 2) If Artwork is too big there is no way to resize it and save back to tag 3) There is no option to resize image if it is too big, only to delete it |

The images management really could be made somewhat more powerful. Not sure whether 1. needs any change, I'd possibly rather move such a functionality to 2., where an option to resize an image (in place in tag, in place in a file, to another file?) seems to make sense. |

"The images management really could be made somewhat more powerful" I found Image Management difficult in MM4, and if anything is worse in MM5. * the search local files button is hidden inside the Internet Search dbox accessed Via "Lookup Image.." * if I try to save the art to an explicit name (eg. Folder.jpg) and the file already exists MM5 (a situation which is invisible in MM5 UI) , MM5 silently saves it some altered file name , eg. Folder_1.jpg * it is hard to fix this situation in MM ... it resists changes its stored name of the folder art (see image) ie. i don't feel I have explicit control over what is happening |
