Summary | 0001564: Show Device Database in MediaMonkey
Description | It would be useful to allow the user to browse a device's DB contents so that the user could browse the collection by whatever attributes are stored in the db: e.g. All artists, specific artist, All Genres, specific Genres. Jiri suggested that: It might also be useful to allow the user to configure whether to: - read tags directly from files (i.e. the same we currently do in My Computer node) - read what is in device's DB (only artist, title, album, genre). This would be limited in options, but much faster. I'm not sure that this is needed, though, since in my opinion, MM should always use the device DB, except when browsing via My Computer (which is consistent with the approach used elsewhere in MM). Assuming that type of browsing is implemented, it likely means that top level nodes might change slightly--Playlists need to be added back to the MediaMonkey Library portion of the tree e.g.: MediaMonkey Library --Current library nodes --Playlists iRiver Library --Relevant Library nodes Search Results My Computer Web
