Summary | 0001590: Album Art: Doesn't save for MPC files (when 'save to tag' is selected)
Description | I just tried to tag some MPC files and found that if Album Art is configured to save to a tag, something gets saved but it cannot be displayed. I'm not sure whether the problem is: a) MM doesn't switch to 'link to file' mode automatically for audio formats in which the image can't be saved in the tag b) MPC supports Album Cover tags, but MM just doesn't save them correctly
Tags | No tags attached. | ||||

Fixed in build 810. - Images as automatically linked in case the format doesn't support images (only mp3 and wma currently). |

Actually, I was a bit to quick on closing this one. The basic test of just adding/removing album art works correctly. However, if the user has set MM to store Album Art to tags, and has disabled confirmations for this, then storage of Album Art for file types that don't support Album Art tags will fail. What should happen instead is that if the user has set MM to store to tags, then anytime an operation to store to a tag cannot proceed because tagging Album Art for the supported filetype is not supported, the image should be linked. |
