Summary | 0016202: Right click Properties on Location sub-node stops access to MediaMonkey
Description | When using right click Properties on the Location sub-node in the Media Tree MediaMonkey gets a dark overlay and is unusuable. MediaMonkey doesn't seem hung though.

Unable to replicate, for me it takes Time (depending on number of rtacks) but it opens properties window for multiple tracks edit. |
|
I am also unable to replicate on my DB. But tested on LowLander's database: - I cannot replicate on Location > [DATA] - but I can replicate on Location > [Network] > lowlander03 (when 'Display folder content recursively' is set ) By evidence is caused by the number of files (268198 files) , i.e. the Properties dialog is shown once all the files are read (from all the subfolders of lowlander03 storage) which takes at least one minute on my machine. |

Optimized opening Properties dialog for thousands of files in build 2220 (when mass editing already loaded group of tracks -- e.g. in tracklist). As for the opening the properties for location/folders. I think that the reasonable solution is to just hide the Properties context menu item for Location/Folders -- as it is confusing anyhow (it actually shows mass edit instead of properties of the folder) In MM4 there also isn not a 'Properties' context menu item for folders. There used to be only the "Media Properties" dialog for drives in Location, but it was rather not usable for anything. => Removed in 2220 |

Verified 2220 Unable to replicate freeze, but it is very noticeable that is much faster. |

Re verified 2262 No regressions on implementation and complains on removed option as Ludek pointed out in 0016202:0055734 |
