Summary | 0016273: Playback: Track playback starts delayed
Description | Tracks playback starts delayed 2-3s in some cases, I suspects on background issue that delay execution of playback command and it starts synced along with Wabebar showing even it was previously cached. Uploaded to ftp LOG file and will upload video file accompany log. Workaround, close MM5 in Home view and then after restart playback starts immediately no matter of speed of clicking (also shown at the end of video) Test Note: same files are used on MM5 restart to compare behavior.

I have not reproduced exactly this, but found possible cause (could cause also freeze), test if this is better now. Fixed in build 2222. |

Still happening after prolonged use of MM5 1h+ and quick navigating thru nodes and tracks, but delay is 1/2-1/3 from one in video. Looks like good start, let me know if I can do more specific tests? |

Peke: try to find more specific steps, how to reproduce problem, is it specific only to some formats? It is currently not clear, it could be simply a lot of GUI updates, so it could delay doubleclick event a little bit. I do not experience problem at all. The only delay was when the next track was on HDD, which was not spinning and needed to be woken up first. |

Unfortunately It just starts to Delay after some time of MM5 usage, Restart fixes it again for some time and it goes back. There is no repro steps. It usually happen when I do smoke testing and initialize playback many many times, then at one point it starts to delay which after 1h+ worsen but it is never over 4-6s. It looks like event buffer/history gets full so it takes time to free space and execute event. Possible Flush is needed somewhere to free up handler and memory buffer. Any suggestion, as it can happen after 1h or after 3h of normal MM5 usage, I thought that LOG would show when it started. When it started to happen I started recording video and on 01:14 when MM5 restarted playback reacted instantly. Any suggestions? |

Please retest, if this is still happening, I tried for several minutes and no problem. If so, generate new log with corresponding new video for me, thanks. |

I tested today for few hours and Can't replicate. Resolving for now. |

Verified 2264 Still can't replicate, it was most likely related to Sound card issues that was fixed with Motherboard BIOS upgrades I was testing and/or change of sound card. |
