| Description | When browsing artist using browser views and artist have track in Compilation album then MM5 list only track names and user unless knows all tracks from artist there is no way to tell which track from browsed artist is in that album. (Snap11.jpg) Solution would be to show Albums which Artist and Album Artist is not same show Track Artist inside "(Westlife)" or "(Phil Collins)" like when user view Compilation album directly. (Snap13.jpg) ----Edit for clarity by Rusty--- If the user clicks a Compilation album by a given Artist --> album popup appears with list of tracks but no artist names, so its not clear which ones are by the Artist! A solution would be for Album Popups to include next to each track title for which Artist|=Album Artist, the Artist name(s) in brackets. | ||||

From Home click on Artist "Westlife" to expand Albums Artist has tracks on (or if compilation album ais shown in albums click on that album to expand its content) 3. Click on Compilation Album 4. Only tracks names are visible not artist of tracks and there is no way which track is from browsed artist (Snap11.jpg) For easier testing: If needed use My DB from FTP and PIN "Westlife" Artist as PINNED are seen in Home. | ||||

We may want to consider implementing post 5.0 since: a) It may result in formatting issues with the album Pop-ups (since many tracks may end up taking more than one line) b) If the user wants to see more detail they can do so by going to the album view |

While testing 0016874 looks like approach a) can be made so that artist is truncated in order to fit popup column eg. "Clean Bandit feat. Sean Paul & Anne-Marie" -> "Clean Bandit feat. Sean Pa...." Where tooltip can show whole info or as Rusty pointed user can use b) to get more info. Think that any info even partial would be OK as it complies with Compilation rules. |
