Summary | 0016675: Auto-tag: some album tracks fail to be tagged as part of the same album
Description | On attempting to tag Ed Sheeran's "No. 6 Collaborations Project" album, several tracks are grouped outside of the album. This happens whether or not the user: - auto-tags only those tracks in the album OR auto-tags those tracks along with other tracks - enables the 'allow compilations' flag or not Similarly, tracks from Ed Sheeran's 'x' are sometimes split between 'x' and 'X' (this doesn't happen consistently). https://www.screencast.com/t/3zNgWikl3 Tested build 2253

I've made some improvements in grouping. About album name 'x' vs 'X'. Problem is in musicbrainz, where most of the releases is named as 'x', but there's one release named 'X'. |

Tested 2255. The issue with Ed Sheeran - X is resolved, but a similar issue occurs with the 'Divided' album: 'Shape of you' is shown with the correct 'Divided' album, but isn't combined with other tracks from the 'Divided' album Re. the issue with No.6 Collaborations Project, it isn't fixed. i.e. the following tracks still aren't grouped with the album: Beautiful People Best Part of Me Cross Me I Don't Care Similarly: Castle on the Hill isn't joined into the 'divided' album Lay it all on me isn't joined into the X album I see fire isn't joined into the X album Sing isn't joined into the X album In almost all of the above cases, a Single is recommended instead of the Album (despite 'For individual tracks, recommend albums instead of single from the same time' being enabled). |
