Summary | 0016705: Custom Views: edit button fails for inapplicable views
Description | Custom views are displayed greyed out in nodes to which they don't apply. However, despite being greyed out, the Edit/Delete buttons are active, but clicking the Edit button has no effect (though the delete button works). e.g. 0 Create a custom list view for Music > All tracks 1 Navigate to Music 2 Manage views --> the custom view from step 0 is greyed out since it isn't applicable in Music 3 Click the custom view --> the Delete and Edit buttons are active 4 Click Edit --> Nothing happens!

The original issue is fixed in 2256, however, now, most nodes contain disabled views in Manage Views that the user can't do anything but delete. But since there's no way of seeing what the view is (because the Edit button doesn't appear), a user is reluctant to delete it. There are two possible approaches that would make much more sense: 1) Don't display disabled views 2) Allow disabled views to be edited |

Fixed (removed disabled views). |
