Summary | 0016882: UPnP/DLNA playback may fail with GRE tunnel (LAN devices have public IPs) | ||||
Description | Debugging users network configuration (GRE tunnel for company's needs) user found that: - browsing media server works, but subsequent playback fails , because LAN devices have public IP and MM erroneously thinks that they are accessing MM server ouside of LAN (and thus MM serves the song URIs with the PC's public IP for accessing it outside of LAN with NAT-PNP enabled). Fixed in 2263 SVN revision 36301 for eventual porting back to MM4 |

Verified 2263 User confirmed it is fixed, unfortunately I can only partially test this due the PPPoE ISP connection (Even in Bridge Mode) More info on various settings at https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1033906/ if someone needs it. |

Reminder sent to: peke Hi Peke. Just a reminder to close this if it's fixed (or indicate what needs to happen to close it). |

Verified 2264 I was finally able to create PPTP VPN (as described at https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1033906/) from two PC locations using GRE tunnel and MM5 correctly detect GRE IP and supply correct URL for UPnP/DLNA playback. |
