Summary | 0017041: Auto play: Scheduler script
Description | 15 years ago I created script for MM that can be use to auto start/schedule playlist https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6042 there was some work to update version in this script https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/browse/item/mediamonkey-alarm-clock-script/ discussed at https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=431101#p431101 It would be good if MM5 could add ability to create Windows Shortcut that can be added to windows scheduler or even we can make script that will internally handle Scheduled task in MM while MM is started.

I don't understand what's needed from MM5 side. I suppose that only some command line parameters are needed to be sent to MM5? Or some VBS scripting commands that aren't available in MM5 yet? |

As it is very old feature, I was thinking to make new feature directly in MM5.x where we can control (add/edit) scheduled tasks when MM is started (including service) which would help to offload some tasks from main thread (like scan folders, or Auto Organize, or start playback on Alarm or ...) This will be also valuable to have on multi platforms where continuous scan is not available so that they can be started thru cronjobs. |
