Summary0017152: Use of "Track" vs 'File" (in Playback Rules and elsewhere)
DescriptionThe Display format for 'Track summary' setting mentions Track instead of File. This is probably connected to the Track Summary column, which would also be incorrect as both are also used for video files

I suspect we should probably leave this for now. I just did a search in Weblate and there are 117 strings with 'track' in it. Many are audio-specific, but some aren't. e.g.
Focus tracklist on currently playing item
Track was added to the Library
%d tracks in your library have not been analyzed for redundancy. Would you like to analyze them now (this takes a fair amount of time)?
Tracks
This finds all tracks with tags that don't match the database, highlighting the mismatched values. If tracks don't show highlighted fields, try enabling additional columns.
 Track title
 Accessible tracks
...

Martin was suggesting that moving forward we take the approach of referring to Files in general since this term is content-agnostic. e.g.
Podcasts - episodes
Music - tracks
Videos - videos
Audiobooks - files

Can all be referred to generically as files. We can review this for 5.1 and make any additional changes at that point.

Closed 0017105 and moved to here (though it's a debatable point):
- tracks should be files in Create playlists of tracks newly added to the library under Tools > Options > Tags & Playlists.
