1. To clarify, the issue seems to occur whenever the layout is set to 'Simplified list' (i.e. it doesn't occur in regular list views), which means that the F2 context-command would have to be sensitive to which View is being used. Also, I understand why in-place editing is disabled for Playing [Simplified list], but I'm not sure why it's disabled for AlbumName [Simplified List] or ArtistName [Simplified list]. It would probably be preferable to enable in-place editing for those views, rather than adjusting the context menu behavior. 2. I'd leave this as is for now, since 'Rename' is also used to rename filenames (not just fields). We could change it to just 'Edit' but I'm not sure that's any better. |

Disabled 'Rename' command for simplified tracklist ... re1) unfortunatelly simplified tracklist does not support editing, because it work different than classic tracklist |

1. Verified 2329 now it is by design of simplified lists 2. it is obsolete when 1. is fixed in all other parts I am OK with rename as a term Closing |

Regression 2330: as reported at https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=98719 , 'Rename' now disabled when right-clicking on any Grid entry. in build 2330. e.g. - in Music > Artists > ArtistName [Grid] when right-clicking on ArtistName (but it also happens for Genres, Composers, etc. I haven't tested all possible usecases). - in Music > Genres > GenreName [Browser] when right-clicking on the image for an Artist or Album |

Verified regression from 0017689:0062651 in 2332 I ahev not been able to find any noted view that now disable Rename where there should be enabled. |
