| Description | As reported, for some tracks, the Album Artist field appears correctly (as 'various') in the My Computer node (prior to scanning), but after the track is scanned, the Album Artist field is updated with the Artist field! I'm placing a file with the problem on the ftp server. | ||||
| Additional Information | Reported by user at: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3362 I have lots of problems with this issue in my lib. If you look in the browse section of MM 2.3 Beta under the my computer, it shows various as the album artist. If you scan it into the lib, and look at it in the lib it shows the artist as the album artist. Go back to the browse section of MM it shows various as album artist. If I convert it in MM 2.3.X to MP3 128K even MM 2.2.X shows the album artist as the artist! So it is messing up Now in MM 2.2.X even scanning it shows various as album artist. on conversion to MP3 128K it the album artist is still various, also MM 2.3.X beta messes up as above with the other file. I think I ripped this with Music Match. Otherwise it was with Media Monkey 2.X I also think that when I edited this file the edits disappeared when I cleared the lib and re scanned it. Attached is just 1 mp3 file. From what I see it is independent of location so just make a directory to put it in. | ||||
