Summary | 0017786: Improved messaging on failed file operations (path length)
Description | If the user performs operations that would result in unsupported path lengths, MM fails in different ways, and in all cases fails to explain to the user what has happened: 1) Move track from Location > path 1 to Location > path 2 (which is too long) --> nothing happens! 2) Edit filename in place at Location > Path 1 --> file inaccessible error 3) Move track from Location > path 1 to Folders > path 2 --> An error has occurred while moving path1 to path2. Do you want to try again Ideally MM should indicate something like: '<Operation> failed: <explanation>' e.g. Moving path1 to path2 failed: Path is too long. Renaming path1 failed: Path is too long. Renaming path 1 failed: File is read-only. etc.
