| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Insert Audio CD 2. Wait till FreeDB Info is fetched for CD -> Select CD in Tree to see info in track listing. 3. Right click on CD in Tree node -> RIP CD 4. Status bar shows "Read Metadata" -> RIP Dialog shows 20s later. 5. Cancel RIP DIALOG 6. Right click on CD in Tree node -> RIP CD 7. Status bar shows "Read Metadata" -> RIP Dialog shows 20s later. | ||||

I can't replicate, for me it takes less than second to show the 'Convert files' dialog. Only the first "Reading Metadata" takes up to seconds (until the drive spins). Please attach debug log. |

In your log I see that CD-Text reading takes more than 7 seconds in your environment. So introducing a CD-Text cache should solve the problem. |

Verified 2502 Tested on several CD with tracks 10-60 all is fast now. |
