Summary | 0001804: Selecting >1500 folders in Add Folders dialog leads to major slowdowns
Description | This issue was reported and reproduced by a user. Here is the full report: From a clean install (and with no plugins): -Open Media Monkey -Close "tip of the day" -File -> add/rescan tracks to the library -remove checkmark from the music folder, if checked -Expand the folder -click checkbox for the (now open) folder -MM hangs and eventually Windows decides it is "unresponsive" I am using WinXP, with up-to-date service packs. Retest to try to get to the bottom of the bug: In the "Add Folders" dialog, I began manually adding subdirectories of my "Music" folder. When I got about half way through, the checkboxes started to lag behind my clicks - at 3/4 of the way, it takes a minute and a half for the checkmarks to fill the boxes I've clicked. So, probably, the original issue isn't that the program is crashing - just hanging for a very long time. The bug also occurs if you check "My Music" while closed, then open it (all subdirectories are checked) and un-check one of the subdirectoreis. The "selected folders" text box of the "add folders" dialog is my uneducated guess of culprit. btw, "My Music" has 2327 subdirectories Note: I'm assuming this is a simple fix. If it isn't, let's defer since it's going to be uncommon to have so many directories.
