Summary | 0018346: MM5 "help" for Portable version is out of date; ie. last updated 2011
Description | MM5 help for an Portable Installation is out of date, is very dense, and is very misleading. It makes MM5 look bad IMO. Suggest that "Portable" page be updated, and have the following sections at a minimum,: 1) What is Portable mode, and what is its purpose? 2) How to create a Portable MM installation 3) How to use a MM Portable installation on another computer 4) How to reset a MM portable installation ...ie. how to trigger reload of the database
Steps To Reproduce | 1) Open MM5 help 2) Search on "portable"

The problem stems from the fact that Search is returning old content from https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/Portable_Mediamonkey I've edited the wiki slightly re. 1) and 2) is already described. We should probably: 1 Get rid of the old page 2 Ensure that there are keywords/links on the new page so that search points to it 3 Add more information based on barry's suggestions 3/4 (not sure of the best location) |

<<< I've edited the wiki slightly re. 1) >>> You published that edit? I can't see it ie Search Help on "portable" takes me to the page you linked to, and that page has not been edited for 10 years |

This article is designed for MediaMonkey 3 which didn't have the Portable Install option. |
