Summary | 0018347: Album art is "missing" after migration to MM5
Description | There have been quite a few complaints in the forum re "lost" artwork after migrating to MM5. I spent some time testing today, and I can see that there is a problem. It is an intermittent issue, so is complex. But I think that it is to do with: 1) albums where art is stored in the Folder.jpg file, and not in track tags 2) and where the album has been first opened in the Folders node Using the steps below the art is: 1) missing from Grid mode in the Folders node, and also in Collections in Grid view 2) but the "missing" art is displayed OK in the Preview panel 3) remains missing in all Grid views ... ie. problem remains after F5 refresh 4) but is fixed after restarting MM5, unless the album is accessed in the Folder node before being viewed in a collection tested using 2503 Tracks are on a NAS
Steps To Reproduce | 1) Open MM5 2) Go to folders node, and open some albums in Grid by Album view 3) Observe that some, but not all, art is missing for albums where art is stored in Folfer.jpg, but not in tags 4) Open EntireLibary>AlbumArtists and filter to the same artist 5) Observe that the same albums show no art, or sometimes they show internet art with the "save-me" icon in top left corner 6) Close and re-open MM5 7) Repeat steps 4 & 5 ==> "missing" art has been found.
