| Description | MM5 produces no failure indication if it is unable to complete a "New Folder" when requested. ... ie. invalid file name, or user has insufficient rights to the network disk There needs to be a dbox with an error message. If the outer folder is small, the error is self evident. But in a large folder issue causes frustration and confusion. Further exacerbated by Linux vs Windows rules for file names and case sensitivity. nb: it would be good if Mantis had a category for Location|Folder node. IMO these nodes have a lot of issues, and are not very successful atm I have some more issues that I want to report. | ||||

Michal, hopefully you can interrogate the error code, and provide a situation relevant error message? Like Explorer does; a different message for a Rights issue, vs an invalid name, vs a name clash. |
