Summary | 0018767: Propertied Dialog: Tab order is not the same as in MM4
Description | Some users would prefer Vertical TAB Order instead Horizontal TAB order in MM5. I tend sort of to agree that if you use keyboard to quickly navigate fields MM4 tab order serves better for basic edits. MM4: Title, Artist, Album, Album Artist, Composer. Now: Title, Rating, Artist, Genre, Album, Disc, Track, Album Artist.

Note that this is a single complaint. and MM4 also does Title, Rating, Artist, Genre... when tabbing through Properties just like MM5 does. So change would likely upset muscle memory of users (ie, I wouldn't recommend a change like this till MM6). 2) The actual problem raised is that tabbing to Custom fields is odd as it tabs Custom 1 > Custom 6 > Custom 2 > Custom 7. Solutions are: A) Change display order of custom (Custom 1 and right of it Custom 2 instead of Custom 6, next line Custom 3 ... so that current tabbing remains consistent, but then follows custom order. B) Change tabbing order to go vertical instead of horizontal so it follows the custom order as currently shown. |

I agree, I would not change default behavior, current is standard handled by Chromium itself, the same order will be for every web based app or web page. The only problem could be with Custom fields, will look at them. Solution "A" makes sense and will correspond to the rest of the dialog. |

As discussed, issue 1) doesn't need to be fixed. Issue 2) is covered at 0020933. |
