Summary | 0018814: MM5 "More Addons" facility hides addons which are suitable for both MM5 & MM4
Description | MM5 "Get More Addons" button goes directly to https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/browse/mediamonkey-5/ The web page gives no indication that there are other add-ons at https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/browse/mediamonkey-4-5/ The User will not know that this other location exists.

Short term (Rusty): We should change the default addons link in MM5 to https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/browse/ Medium term (Drakinite): we should: a) Change the way the site functions so that top-level categories display in the same manner that all other categories display i.e. if the user expands 'MediaMonkey 5', the MediaMonkey 4-5 and MediaMonkey 4 categories should continue to display. b) Change the order of the categories to: MediaMonkey 5 MediaMonkey 4/5 MediaMonkey 4 |
|
The short term fix has been implemented. Re-assiging to Drakinite for the additional items. (set to 'Help / Docs / Localization' since it's independent of the client release). |
|
Unfortunately, neither a) nor b) can be done via the site editor. I believe a) will require a change to the PHP, which is not currently on SVN; and b) will require a change to the database. Assigning to Jiri, as he has easier access to both items. |

Tweaked the Addons site to work as proposed (a&b). |

Verified. Closing. |
