Summary | 0018993: Statistics has inconsistent statistics between Top 10 Artist or Album Played and Top 10 Genre's or Ratings played
Description | Statistics has inconsistent statistics between Top 10 Artist or Album Played and Top 10 Genre's or Ratings played. - For Artist and Album it shows all plays for files associated with that value (so if there are 10 files with 10 plays each the number would be 100) - For Genre and Rating it shows the total amount of files played associated with that value (so only 10 would be shown). Solutions: A) Fix Genre and Rating to also show total plays B) Fix wording so it's clear Genre and Rating show something else than Artist and Album.

You are true, there is inconsistency. IMO we should either: 1) rename 'Tracks' to 'Plays' for albums/artists (per screenshoit above) OR 2) unify it with genres/ratings and show only number of tracks played (and not total plays) |
I'd go with A) / 1) i.e. For reports of 'Top 10 x Played', it should always indicate the # of plays--and show 'Played #' rather than tracks so that it's clear. Note: 'Played #' is an existing string. |
Fixed in build 2663. |
1) This doesn't seem fixed for Ratings. 2) Length and File Size don't match played count. |
Rating played fixed in build 2665. It counted repeated playback of the same track only once. 2) left opened, as this would be change of behavior from MM4, where it works the same like in MM5 now. If really needed, please insert as new issue. |
A) Verified on 2665. B) The issue is that for the Top 10 statistics the column Played (counts total amount of plays for the value) doesn't match the statistic provided by Length and File Size (which counts for files). 1 We can leave it as is, it was like this in MediaMonkey 4 too 2 Make Length and File Size match the Plays (ie. Plays * Length/Filesize) 3 Remove the columns Length and File Size 4 Add Total value (Length of Played files/Length of all files for value |

Resolving and opening a new issue for the remaining item 2). |

Reviewed and verified 3040 I do not see any reason for further change. Especially as 2) is fixed in other bug. |
