Summary | 0019382: Appearance of progress indicator causes the tracklist to 'jump'
Description | If the 'Bottom Panel' containing the player is disabled, then whenever the progress bar appears (e.g. due to a scan, podcast update, etc.) the bar causes the tracklist to 'jump'. i.e. if the view is a list view and either or both the Horizontal Scroll Bar and the Status bar are shown, then the Progress bar appears and the other two bars are moved up, and it doesn't look great. In contrast, when the 'Bottom Panel' with the player is enabled, if the status bar appears (e.g. due to a scan, podcast update, etc.) the bar overwrites the bottom portion of the player. This issue was kind of reported at 0018880 with images/videos, but the proposed solution was to make the progress bar always visible, however that would result in an empty bar always being shown. Similarly, forcing the Status bar to always display isn't a solution since that would conflict with the view settings, and even if it is always displayed, it wouldn't solve the problem since the Progress bar would push it up. An alternate solution is to always overlay the Progress bar on top of whatever is displayed on the bottom-most row. e.g. on top of the Scroll bar or Status bar.
