Summary | 0019549: Users don't realize that they have to enable the Toolbar
Description | There have been a couple of instances of users configuring the toolbar and then being confused when they don't see it. A simple solution would be to have a checkbox at the top of the Options > Toolbar configuration dialog: [ ] Enable toolbar Note: if we take this approach, then View > Toolbar should be modified from [ ] Toolbar [ConfigIcon] to [ConfigIcon] Toolbar

I think that the main problem is that on clean install the Toolbar isn't enabled by default (once some items were added). This is a recent regression introduced by adding the Toolbar view menu: 0017826:0069887 i.e. Clean install: Go to Options > Toolbar and add some items to the toolbar => toobar still isn't visible until enabled in View menu The toolbar should be disabled by default, but once some items are added to the toolbar then it should become visible (until disabled in View menu) |

Fixed in 5.0.4.2684 i.e. 1) whenever Toolbar gets non-empty then it is auto-shown 2) whenever Toolbar gets empty then it is auto-hidden |
