Summary | 0019550: Auto-Tag gets Artwork wrong for a compilation album
Description | When auto-tagging a compilation album: 1) Artwork for the files that have been matched to the correct album have incorrect Artwork. The artwork is for a MercyMe Album rather than the compilation album that was found! 2) 1 file from Lynyrd Skynyrd is matched to a different Album by Lynyrd Skynard instead of the same compilation Album as all other files on the same Album.

Compilations are problematic, because the title of such album, without artist, is often too general. Combination "artist + album name" is more unique and has better chance for good search result. But in case of compilations, artist is not there, so relevancy of Google search is sometimes worse. We did not find any way, how to improve it. User could try to adjust search phrase when manually searching for image, but what helps to one album, can ruin result for other, so probably cannot be solved automatically. Another fact is, that artworks for compilations are not so popular and widespread, so harder to find at all. |
