Summary | 0019687: Wi-Fi Sync to MM4 crashes at certain %
Description | Per a user's report, Wi-Fi sync consistently crashes with build 1056 after a certain number of files have been synced. This crash occurs with MM4, however, even if the issue is specific to MM4, MMA2 should not crash. Log ID: WC42NXH5V8 Log ID2: FW1R9ST73P Log ID3: VBEIBZUB2Z Description: wifi synch freeze

There's another similar report to this at https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=103395 in which synchronization of large playlists halts partway through the operation, though in this case it doesn't crash. Debug log VH7MN16IZ2 MMA 2.0.0.1057 This user also was syncing with MMW4. EDIT: based on Martin's review of the logs, this is due to a timeout in MM4 for a particular file. So this particular issue is likely an MMW4 issue that might be fixed in MMW5. |
Note: the original user indicates that it might be related to a problem deleting files. Does MMA Wi-Fi Sync verify permissions (and prompt the user if necessary for the needed rights) prior to each operation? |
Log ID: WC42NXH5V8, Log ID2: FW1R9ST73P - The database was deleted during sync because it was corrupted. Probably because of a crash. Improved logs + a bunch of crash-log fixes. Log ID3: VBEIBZUB2Z - playlist deletion fails, missing write permission. Added permission request before deletion. Fixed in build 2.0.0.1061 |
No regression found while testing 1061 and 1919/2960 |

This is fixed for the user at https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=103268 BUT, the issue isn't fixed for the user at https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=103395 Debug log: ID 85S5SXJ3NW |
VH7MN16IZ2 & 85S5SXJ3NW - ConnectTimeoutException -> Asked user to try to turn off battery optimization. I'm marking it as resolved until response and decreasing the priority. |
