Summary | 0019807: Casting (Google): Playback often stops when switching tracks in the playing queue (regression)
Description | When casting to a Google Cast device, playback often (about 1/4 of the time) stops when switching to an earlier or later track by tapping the track in the Playing > Queue. When this occurs, the tapped track appears in the player, but never advances beyond 0:00. Tapping other tracks fails to initiate playback. In order to initiate playback the user must tap the Play/Pause button. Debug log: V4I4GV7KNR (with a Google Mini device) Debug log: FDE2NUU5L8 (with a Google Audio Cast device) Interestingly, swiping FORWARD (or tapping NEXT) almost never triggers the bug, but swiping BACK often does (though tapping BACK doesn't trigger it as consistently).

Retested on build 1086 and this still occurs. The easiest way to trigger this is to press Next 2x or Back 2x --> playback pauses. Log ID: U98CGM2YWP Description: Chromecast: skip track 2x caused playback to pause Note: I've tested with Pixel 5a (Android 13) <--> Google TV. Peke tested with a Nexus Player and couldn't replicate. |
