Summary | 0019932: Major Delay for playback controls (performance regression)
Description | There have been numerous complaints that MMA 2.0 is slower than 1.x. One of the noticeable issues is that playback controls aren't instantaneous. e.g. - initiation of playback: upon tapping a track, it takes about a second for playback to start - back/next: upon tapping back or next, it takes about a second for playback of the track to start

We've received a debug log from a user experiencing 10-12s delays in MMA responding to playback controls: Log ID is SIQXEUXD1P. Full report at: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=104160 |

Fixed in build 2.0.0.1077 |

Tested playback controls direct, via bluetooth (multiple devices), via Android Auto and no obvious regressions in build 1077. Waiting for feedback from users who experienced this bug. Note: MediaMonkey 1.x and 2.x have always responded a bit slowly to playback controls--but this is a distinct issue that can be entered separately. To observe this play track A and switch to the Playing view. After 6 seconds press the 'Previous' button --> after about .5s the currently playing track stops playing and after another .5s the new track starts. This is about .5s longer than it should take. I'll enter this in a separate bug since it's a different issue. |
