Summary | 0020152: Wi-Fi Sync generates non-playable entries when conversion errors occur during sync
Description | When MMW generates certain codec errors during a sync operation (see bug 0020139), Wi-Fi sync creates a non-playable entry (e.g. an MP3 file of 32kB). What should happen is that if a codec error is generated for a particular track then: - no content should be copied to MMA - no DB entry should be created Note: - This issue may also occur with USB Sync (I haven't tested) - The issue is probably part of the sync protocol (and may require fixes within both/either MMA/MMW) - 0020139 has already been fixed, but I think that this is a separate problem since the fact that this occurred would seem to indicate that it might occur in other scenarios as well. - A fix to this issue should ensure that all such non-playable tracks that were incorrectly 'synced' to the device are replaced
