Tested in 903 and MM is not added to the list of Media Players (whether it is associated with multimedia files or not--it just doesn't appear).

Note: tested by running 'Set Program Access and Defaults' and then viewing 'Custom'--MM wasn't listed as a potential Media Player, though iTunes, MusicMatch, WMP, etc. were.

It works fine for me. Tested:
1. MM isn't in 'Set Program Access and Defaults'.
2. MM.exe is executed (with enabled check for auto-association - which is the default).
3. MM is in 'Set Program Access and Defaults'.

Btw, step 2. isn't needed in case MM was properly installed beforehand.

Possible problems:
 - Do you have administrative rights (I'm not sure it's needed).
 - Have you tried restarting? (Shouldn't be needed either).

Retested after restarting (note: I'm logged in as a Power User) and the problem still remains even with Alpha 5. i.e. there is no entry for 'MediaMonkey' as a media player within any of the 'Set Program Access and Defaults' dialogs.

Is there a portion of the registry that I can send to you for verification of why this is happening?

Note: all other applications (iTunes, MusicMatch, WMP, etc.) appear in the dialogs and they were all installed via the same Power User.

I don't see any reason why shouldn't it work...

The registry key is HKLM\SOFTWARE\Clients\Media\MediaMonkey, you can try to send me your HKLM\SOFTWARE\Clients.

Posted registry file to the ftp server. Let me know if this helps.

Fixed in build 913.
 - There were missing double quotes that were needed in some cases.
