Fixed in build 904. - Note that this was a fix of a bug in MM. Duplicate devices can possibly appear in case WMDM (or device driver) doesn't report a device identifier consistently. This would have to be handled on per-device basis. |

Tested in build 904, and it seems that it is still possible to cause multiple devices to appear. What is _really_ strange is that I had been testing a clean install of build 903 and could not get this bug occur _at_all_ when testing an iRiver N10 UMS device (the device would sometimes appear as 'Removeable Disk (F:)' and other times as 'Removable Disk (G:)' but despite that, only one instance appeared in the list of Portable Devices). When I installed build 904, I installed it _on_top_ of build 903 (rather than doing a clean install). Now, multiple instances of the device appear--apparently when MM is restarted and/or the device is disconnected/reconnected. I've posted a log of this onto the ftp server. Note also: sometimes multiple 'F:\' devices appear and other times multiple 'Removable Disk (F:\)' devices appear. |

Fixed in build 906. - As I wrote in the previous note, this isn't directly related to the original reason for this bug. Anyway, it should work better in build 906. |
