Summary | 0021447: Scanning just '\\NAS' adds no files while scanning '\\NAS\music\' works
Description | The same happens also in version 5: 1) Add new network location as UNC path like '\\NAS' 2) Go to Folders > Network > \\NAS , press Insert to add the folder to 'Add/Rescan' check and scan the '\\NAS' folder => 0 files added 3) Expand the '\\NAS' folder to see subfolders, right-click '\\NAS\music\' folder > Add/Rescan => now all music files are added

I would suggest that Insert should not be allowed on Server access exactly like Windows explorer do not allow Mapping "\\NAS" but allows "\\NAS\Music". |
|
Good idea, as 'Add/Rescan' is also missing from context menu for such a network reseources.. So when Insert is pressed while this resource is selected then this message appears: |
|
OK, I removed the message and actually when the '\\NAS' is selected then no folder is added to Add/Rescan (similar like if 'WORKGROUP' is selected) The message was removed as we need a fix for 2024.1, because accidental scanning of '\\NAS' actually result in message that X thousands of files haven't been found in their expected locations, do you want to remove them from library? This is now prevented by not adding '\\NAS' to the list of folders to scan.. |
