Summary | 0002174: Double-click action behaves differently for floating Now Playing and Now Playing list selected in the Main Tree.
Description | Currently double click action set in Options|Player behaves differently for Now Playing and Now Playing selected in the Main Tree. e.g. Default 'Double-Click' Action: When playback is stopped: Play Next When tracks are playing: Play Next In the Main tree NP it really execute Play Next, but on the floating NP it starts playing the double clicked track (Play Now execution). Rusty indicated that it is right - it prevents from creation of duplicates and triplicates in NP. I agree, I think that it should always trigger PlayNow action in the NP too. Only if user have set Disable Players/Volume Controls in the Options|Party Mode than the double click action should do nothing in Now Playing to prevent stopping the currently played track.

Ludek, I would suggest that this isn't really an issue in the sense that: -The 'Now Playing' dialog _should_ function in the manner that it currently does (i.e. it should only switch to the double-clicked track). -The Now Playing node _should_ function in the manner that it currently does as this is consistent with how all other nodes in the tree function. |

I just run into this issue today and agree that Ludek was right at least in one point. Currently if user switches to Party Mode, then even if all actions are diabled (e.g. user can't prev Prev or Next player buttons), then user can still go to arbitraty track by double-clicking in NP window! I'd suggest that if appropriate option of Party mode is enabled, double-click in NP would only work if playback is stopped, so that user can start it at all. However, as soon as playback starts, it shouldn't be possible to double-click in NP. Assigned to Rusty for review, assign to Ludek then. |

Btw. I was browsing our beta testing forums and there is a user feedback describing the exact same problem, see: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6925 |

I agree that this is a bug, however, for clarity, I'm going to move it to its own bug. (The original issue here was about whether double-clicking a track in Now Playing can have different effects depending on which now playing is double click. I think that this bug in Party Mode doesn't change the outcome of that discussion). |
