Summary | 0002332: Auto-conversion doesn't always fill device up to its capacity
Description | As reported in http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4921&start=15, it can happen that if auto-conversion is used device isn't filled up to its capacity, even though it should.

Tested in 940, and MM seems to fill the device, however, it needlessly converts files even when they're not going to fit on the device causing synch time to grow needlessly. e.g. -Synch 12 flac files with auto-conversion set to MP3 320kbps -->MM synchs/autoconverted 5 files which more or less filled up the 128mb device, leaving 13.5MB free -->MM continues to autoconvert the remaining 7 tracks on the auto-synch list! (even though none of them fit on the device. If MM is trying to fit a track in the remaining space, it should probably use some heuristic to choose a track "smaller" than the last attempted one. |
