| Description | WMDM auto-synchronization consists of three main steps: 1. Initialization (scan of device) 2. Copy of tracks 3. Finalization (creation of albums and playlist) Step 2. obviously cannot be speeded up by MM, step 1. can't be unless we sacrifice some features of auto-synchronization. However, step 3. could be made faster. | ||||

Fixed in build 943. - Some kind of caching was implemented and so device speed limitations in step 3. are now fixed in MM. In my tests with iRiver PMC, step 3 was at least 3 times faster now! I suppose that in cases reported by some users (many minutes for this) the improvement could be even more significant. |
