Summary | 0002780: Delete tags function should work across all formats
Description | Under Advanced Tag Management, MediaMonkey currently has the option to 'Clean ID3v1 and v2 tags'. It would be useful if this were changed to 'Clean all tags' (i.e. this function should work for wav, ogg, etc. tags). In order to support the situation in which some format plugins are not supported, the dialog that appears should be: "In case of damaged tags, this will remove tags from MP3, OGG, FLAC, <XXX> from the selected tracks (track properties will not be removed from the Library). Are you sure you want to proceed?" The downside of this functionality is that it will result in the loss of Album Art in cases where the Album Art is embedded. A possible solution would be to move the album art to linked files. Another related function that overcomes the above limitation is to update the Synchronize Tags option as follows: "This will update the tags of the selected tracks so that they match your library. It can also clean tags of MP3, OGG, <XXX> files prior to updating. Do you want to proceed? '[x] Clean tags prior to updating' [Yes] [No]"
