Summary | 0003185: dragging tracks from tracklist to my computer moves files instead of copying them
Description | At the moment, if you drag a track out of the MM window and drop it onto the desktop or a my computer window, the track is processed just like windows does by default... That is, if the destination location is on a different drive, the track is copied, but if the destination directory is on the same drive as the original directory, the track is moved. This is very dangerous for the user as it is very easy to forget (or not know) and drag some songs over to a directory, expecting that they've copied, but months later find they were moved and you since deleted that directory and lost the files. Currently, if you right click and drag, an option is given to you to copy or move. This should remain the same, but the default left click drag-and-drop should ALWAYS be copy - irrelevant of drive.

also, after dragging the files... as they copy, MM becomes locked. MM should remain useable like any standard copy action in "my computer". |

I agree that this is an issue, however, it's unlikely that we'll tackle it in the near future as described in 1638. Setting as 'normal' to look into for the future. |
